Official opening of new Boher Lawn Cemetery

The official opening of Boher Lawn Cemetery marks an important investment in community infrastructure that will provide much-needed burial space for the Ballina and Boher area for generations to come.

A long-term community need has been addressed with the development of Boher Lawn Cemetery in response to a shortage of burial space in the Ballina and Boher parish, where the existing burial ground had reached capacity. The cemetery now provides almost 400 grave plots, ensuring adequate burial provision for the local community into the future.

This significant project was achieved through partnership, with Tipperary County Council collaborating with local stakeholders to identify, purchase, and develop the site. The opening ceremony brought together local residents, public representatives, and stakeholders to celebrate the completion of the project, marking an important community occasion.
