Littering problem at Killaloe Canal

It is quite disheartening to see how much litter is piling up in and around Killaloe Canal in recent months, with far too much ending up in the water. The canal is home to wildlife, a much-loved spot for residents and visitors alike, and deserves to be treated with respect.

Killaloe Tidy Towns volunteers have been out over the past week for multiple litter pick-ups, and thanks to ‘Re-turn’ they even treated themselves to a well-earned cup of coffee afterwards! The volunteers extend gratitude to Clare County Council and Waterways Ireland for their continued support and hard work in managing this area.

Please remember to dispose of litter properly. A few small actions from all of us can make a big difference for Killaloe.
