Summer market in Ballingarry
Anybody who has visited Ballingarry for what has become one of the local highlights of the summer calendar will recognise the uniqueness of the venue. A beautiful picnic area in the village provides the perfect setting for people to browse the stalls, chat with neighbours and friends or simply to sit and enjoy a coffee amongst the trees and wildflowers.
On Sunday, July 26, Ballingarry Community Initiative will host their seventh market and this one promises to be better than ever with over 30 vendors confirmed for the day.
There will be something for everybody with a wide variety of local producers which will include delicious home baking, fresh local preserves, confectionary, arts and crafts, ice cream and locally produced honey and flowers.
Lunch time can also be catered for with a variety of hot food stalls, coffee docks and a pizza truck.
This year we welcome international magician and mentalist Conor Breen known as 'Teach'.
He will be wowing the crowd with his fascinating magic, illusions and tricks. His routines are sure to inspire curiosity and bring good natured humour and comedy to the occasion.
To keep the smallies happy there will be face painters in the organisers tent and Cloughjordan FC will be in attendance to test the skills of both young and old.
So if you're looking for a fun way to pass a few hours this Sunday, then pop down to Ballingarry between 11 and 2pm.
There is free car parking in the adjacent GAA grounds and free entry to the market. Eircode E53 W597.
