The Watch Centre Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship

This Friday, 24th July, we have the quarter finals of the Junior ‘A’ Championship where Nenagh Eire Og will take on Borris-Ileigh in Roscrea while Ballinahinch will take on Toomevara in Dolla. Both games will throw in at 7.30pm and Kilruane MacDonaghs & Roscrea await the winners in the semi-finals.

The Watch Centre Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship

Two groups are now complete in the Junior ‘B’ Championship with four teams booking their knockout places, two more spots are available from group 1 which has two more rounds to complete as a group of 5.

In group 1, Borrisokane remain undefeated after two games after they defeated Burgess over the weekend to take over at the top of the table with 4 points who have three games played. Toomevara and Portroe both have two points each after two games each. Kiladangan sit bottom with no wins after three games.

In Group 2, Ballina have finished top of the table with 6 points after their 0-24 to 5-4 win over Knockshegowna, and are joined in the knockout stages by Newport. Knockshegowna and Lorrha have been eliminated,

In Group 3, a cracking game between Roscrea and Kilruane MacDonaghs which ended 3-16 apiece on Saturday evening was enough for Roscrea to finish top of the table on 5 points. The draw was not enough for Kilruane who needed a win to have a chance of qualifying after Moneygall defeated Templederry Kenyons earlier that evening. Roscrea and Moneygall progress with Kilruane and Templederry eliminated.

Ger Gavin Home Interiors Minor Hurling Championships

Round 3 of the Minor ‘A’ Championship takes place this week and in Group 2, Borris-Ileigh are two from two after a one point win over Nenagh Eire Og last Wednesday in a thriller. Kiladangan and Kilruane MacDonaghs have one win each while Toomevara and Nenagh are yet to register a win,

In Group 1, Newport received a walkover from Silvermines and are top of the table with 4 points. Ballina and Roscrea are second with two points while Silvermines and Burgess are yet to register a point.

In the Minor ‘B’, round 2 takes place this week, Naomh Eoin host Moneygall and Portroe host Ballinahinch/Templederry. All four teams qualify for the semi-finals.
