Festival organisers say thanks

All involved with Killea Community Fun Day and Féile Margaret O’Sullivan 2026 would like to express a heartfelt thank you on another huge success.

On Sunday, June 21 last, our community came together for the 18th annual Killea Community Fun Day and Féile Margaret O'Sullivan. From the vintage tractors and vehicles in the morning to the music ringing out over the GAA field in the afternoon, the day was a celebration filled with joy, tradition, and unforgettable memories in the sunshine.

We were delighted to welcome back again this year - so many of you - families, friends, neighbours, and visitors, who made the day so special. We say a big thank you to our incredible loyal volunteers, musicians, singers and dancers, local businesses, and sponsors.

We are so grateful to each and every one, for without your support this Funday and Féile would not be such a huge success. Your generosity, time, and talent are what keep this beautiful tradition alive and thriving.

All monies raised on the day are distributed to the various organisations in our parish including Killea Gaa Club, Tidy Village Group, Killea NS, St James Church, Graveyard Committee, Killea Community Centre and Thomas McDonagh Pipe Band. Each year a donation is made to a chosen charity and this year Parkinsons Ireland was the chosen charity.
