Drink driving arrests in local district

In the last week, two males were arrested on suspicion of drink driving. One of these followed a road traffic accident at Monsea, Ballycommon, in the early hours of Saturday. The second arrest was made in the Roscrea area on Monday.

There have been a number of thefts of tools in the local district over recent days, including the taking of tools from a shed at Summerhill, Dunkerrin, between Thursday and Friday last. An attempted theft was reported in the Toomevara area last Saturday, where three males were seen acting suspiciously in a farmyard around 11am. The suspects left the scene on being disturbed.

Gardaí are investigating another incident of criminal damage in Nenagh’s Coille Bheithe estate, where a rock was reportedly thrown through a window last Friday at 7.40pm. CCTV footage is being examined and witnesses are asked to come forward.
