Volunteers clean up Tipp

An estimated 5,491 volunteers took part in community cleanups in Tipperary as part of the National Spring Clean initiative.

A total of 209 groups registered for the initiative in the county. Tipperary Co Council’s Environment and Climate Action section provided additional clean-up supplies to 33 groups and collected over 200 bags of Spring Clean waste, which were then disposed of at the council’s five civic amenity sites.

The council’s June meeting was informed that the amount collected is in line with the 2025 collection figure. Welcoming this, Cllr Pat English said it was great to see so many volunteers getting involved.
