Man drove without insurance
Two men were fined for first-time driving without insurance offences at Nenagh District Court recently.
Jospeh Reid (54) of The Haven, Roscrea was fined €250 with four months to pay for driving without insurance on September 19, 2025. Mr Reid came before Nenagh District Court with car insurance. The court used its discretion to not disqualify him as a driver.
Oleks Kobysh (35) of Ormond Keep, Nenagh, came before Nenagh District Court for driving without car insurance, which had expired in June 2025. Nenagh District Court was told that Mr Kobysh did have insurance with AXA but was unable to renew it when the vehicle failed its NCT.
Mr Kobysh was collecting his vehicle on the day that he was detected by gardaí to be driving without insurance along Church Road in Nenagh. He came before Nenagh District Court with his NCT and motor tax paid.
Judge Marie Keane fined him €200 with six months to pay. Mr Kobysh was not disqualified from driving.
