Grave plan for Toomevara

Conditional planning permission has been granted by Tipperary Co Council for the development of a new graveyard in Toomevara.

Ger Ryan has received permission for the construction of a new graveyard and entrance adjacent to St Joseph’s Church and graveyard, including boundary wall, internal surfaced areas, enabling works and all associated site works.

Among the conditions imposed by the council is a requirement that each individual grave plot be dug no deeper than two metres below ground level, ensuring that there will be a minimum of a one metre buffer between the depth of the lowest coffin and the water table.
