Successful ’Mines fundraiser in aid of Milford Hospice

On April 24 last, the Silvermines Folk Choir held a musical themed table quiz to raise funds for Milford Hospice, in memory of their fellow choir member Mary Ryan-Mulqueen, who had received great care from Milford Hospice before her passing last year.

Mary was a much-loved member of the choir and a huge part of the Silvermines parish community. Great fun was had on the night at Hickey’s Bar in Silvermines and the Folk Choir would like to thank all the spot-prize sponsors and all those who donated to the fundraiser, including Tommy Hickey for looking after us all so well on the night.

Mary Ryan-Mulqueen was fondly remembered in chat and song throughout the night with a huge number of her family and friends in attendance.

On the night, €5,560 was raised.
