Information evening on community sports funding
Fianna Fáil TD for North Tipperary and Northwest Kilkenny, Ryan O’Meara has announced that an information evening on the Community Sports Facilities Fund, formerly known as the Sports Capital Grant, will take place in Littleton on Tuesday. Deputy O’Meara is organising this event alongside Senator Imelda Goldsboro and local Councillor Seán Ryan.
The Minister for Sport, Charlie McConalogue, will attend the event to outline the funding programme and answer questions from clubs, schools and organisations seeking support for local sports and community facilities.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 26, at 8pm in Moycarkey-Borris Community & Sports Centre, Littleton, E41 A0V5.
Speaking ahead of the event, Deputy O’Meara said: “This information evening is an excellent opportunity for sports clubs, schools, and community organisations across Tipperary to learn more about the funding opportunities available under the Community Sports Facilities Fund. The session will cover eligibility, the application process, and key timelines, and will give groups the chance to put their questions directly to the minister. I would also like to thank the Fianna Fáil Minister for Sport, Charlie McConalogue for agreeing to participate in this event in Littleton, after being approached by Senator Goldsboro and myself.”
Deputy O’Meara encouraged local organisations to attend and to share the details with anyone who may benefit. “I would be grateful if clubs and community groups could circulate this invitation among their members. I look forward to meeting representatives on the night and supporting their efforts to improve local sports and community infrastructure.”
