Teachers vs Students: The Teachers vs Students match finished 1 - 1 after full time following a brilliant battle on the pitch, which was packed with skill, drama, tactical changes and plenty of laughs
The teachers finally got their long awaited victory, winning 2-1 on penalties after a tense shootout. An incredible atmosphere and a fantastic support made it a game to remember.
5KM Fun Run/Walk: Last weekend, our Parents Council organised a fantastic 5K Fun Run/Walk in glorious weather conditions. It was wonderful to see so many students, parents, staff, and members of the community come together for such an enjoyable event filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and to all those who participated and supported on the day. Your hard work and enthusiasm made the event a great success.
Awards Day: On Thursday we celebrated the achievements, hard work, and dedication of our students at our annual Awards Day ceremony. It was a wonderful occasion recognising excellence across academics, sport, leadership, attendance, and extracurricular activities.
Congratulations to all award recipients for their fantastic accomplishments throughout the year. Your commitment, positivity, and contribution to school life have made us all extremely proud. A special thank you to our staff, families, and school community for their continued support and encouragement throughout the year.
TY Graduation: This week we celebrated the graduation of our TY students and the end of an unforgettable year filled with new experiences, opportunities, friendships, and memories. From trips and activities to teamwork and personal growth, our students embraced every aspect of Transition Year with enthusiasm and positivity. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved throughout the year.

Certified Irish Angus Beef Finalists trip to ABP Demo Farm: Last week, our Irish Angus Beef National Finalists had the fantastic opportunity to visit the ABP demo farm - an invaluable hands-on learning experience.
A sincere thank you to Stephen Connolly (ABP Agricultural Sustainability Manager), Maire Kennedy (ABP), Matthew (Farm Manager), and Niall Kilrane (ICBF) for delivering such insightful and engaging talks. Students explored key topics including methane emissions, clover, multi-species swards, calf-to-beef systems, genetics, CBV, cattle grading, automatic calf feeders, water quality, and the innovative trials currently taking place on the farm.
Agricultural Science farm trip: Our Fifth and Sixth Year Agricultural Science students took part in an exciting and educational farm trip, gaining first-hand experience across both beef and dairy systems.
Our first stop was a visit to Finboy Limousin in Moneygall, where students received an excellent talk on breeding, genetics, embryo transfer, conformation, dosing, vaccinations, mineral supplementation, and the day-to-day running of a suckler beef enterprise.
The group then travelled to Cloughjordan to visit Michael Ryan’s robotic dairy farm. A huge thank you to Finboy Limousins, Michael Ryan, and Jordan Molloy from Lely group for providing such an engaging and informative experience. Our students gained a valuable insight into both the beef and dairy industries and truly saw agriculture in action!
TY adventure to Achill: Our TY students are enjoying their final TY trip of the year at Achill Outdoor Education Centre this week. It has been a fantastic way to round off an unforgettable TY experience. A brilliant few days full of fun, adventure, and laughter for all.
