Popular EV roadshow returns

Expert panels and test drives at Sunday's event

Nevo, Ireland’s home of electric motoring, is bringing its hugely popular EV Show to the South East. The Nevo Driving Experience in partnership with Bank of Ireland will take over the SETU Arena in Waterford on Sunday, May 24, from 10am to 5pm, offering locals a rare chance to get behind the wheel of the newest electric models from Ireland’s leading car manufacturers, all under one roof.

Admission is free and the event is open to everyone, although attendees are asked to register in advance at nevo.ie/electric-vehicle-show. With up to 30 of the latest EVs on site, from nimble compact city cars and family-friendly SUVs to high-performance saloons and luxury models, visitors can compare models side by side, talk to local franchise dealers, and do test drives on the day.

Derek Reilly, EV Expert with Nevo.ie said: “We’re thrilled to bring our EV Driving Experience to Waterford, offering locals a chance to feel the thrill of driving electric and learn about the many advantages EVs offer. By providing these hands-on experiences, we can further accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable transportation future.”

Beyond the test drives, the SETU Arena will host a packed line-up of expert panel discussions throughout the afternoon, designed to cut through the jargon and answer the questions that matter to everyday drivers. Industry specialists, local dealerships and charging providers will be on hand all day to walk visitors through the realities of EV ownership, from home and public charging, to battery care, finance options and the government incentives currently available to Irish buyers.Whether you are a curious first-timer, a company car driver weighing up your next move, or simply EV-curious, there will be impartial guidance available without any sales pressure.

The Nevo Driving Experience has already drawn strong crowds in towns and cities across the country with a sold-out show in the Curragh Racecourse last month. With the SETU Arena providing a central, easily accessible venue, organisers are encouraging local families, commuters and businesses to come along and see for themselves what driving electric in 2026 really looks like.
