LAWSON CUP
Aisling Annacotty 6-0 Newport Town
Newport Town had no answer for a bang in-form Aisling Annacotty when the sides met in the third round of the Lawson Cup on Sunday.
The League’s top scorer tormented Newport all morning as he scored four times.
Jamie Halpin and Sean Oyibo also scored for the winners.

Nenagh AFC progressed to round four of the competition after receiving a walkover from Murroe.
Lower Divisions
In the quarter finals of the Division 1B Calvert Cup, there were mixed fortunes for the Tipperary sides.
Newport Town ‘B’ played out a 2-2 draw with Glenview Rovers before progressing after a penalty shoot-out. Keith Mawdsley scored twice for Newport.
Nenagh AFC ‘B’ had no such luck as they fell to a 4-0 defeat to Kilmallock ‘B’.
Lough Derg kept their hopes of promotion from Division 2A alive with a 6-2 win over Meanus. Matt Ryan (2), Cian O'Donoghue, Liam O'Shaughnessy, Cian McAuley & Daniel Fogarty scored for the winners.
In the Division 2A Lipper Cup, Jack Scullane and Cian O'Donoghue scored for Lough Derg in a 2-1 win over Castle Rovers.
In the Division 3A Power Cup, Moyross United beat Lough Derg ‘B’ 3-1 with Conor Sheeran netting for the Tipperary side.
David Nolan, Cadden Mudd, Tom Arthur, Dylan Toomey and Max McKenna scored for Lough Derg as they defeated Corbally United 5-2 in the Youth League Division 1.
In the Under 17 Division 1, goals from C Bridgeman, C Donohoe, David Rowland and J Taheny scored for Newport Town in a 4-0 win over Regional United while Lough Derg ‘A’ put seven past Corbally United courtesy of S Wallace 3, G McWey 2, O Shanahan and S Ryan.
In Division 2, Murroe beat Lough Derg ‘B’ 7-1. S Szokodi scored a consolation for Lough Derg.
