Ormond face Tipp rivals in Munster Junior Cup semi-final

Nenagh Ormond are aiming to get back to a final they have a great history in as they take on Kilfeacle in the semi-final of the Munster Junior Cup this Sunday.

The Tipperary derby will take place on the famous Hill-top at the West Tipperary venue, with a place in the final against Cork Constitution at stake.

Nenagh have won the competition five times in their history, the most recent in 2004 which kick-started their progression to senior rugby a year later, and twenty years on they were winning the Munster Senior Cup and competing in the top division of the All-Ireland League.

Nenagh have been professional in their run to the semi-final with wins over Carrick-on-Suir, Killarney, and Old Christians, but they face a big step up in class in the form of Kilfeacle who won the first division of the Munster Junior League in dominant fashion but were unsuccessful in the All-Ireland League playoffs, in their attempt to join Nenagh, Cashel and Clonmel among the Tipperary senior

ranks.

Kilfeacle defeated Charleville and Sundays Well in the early rounds before accounting for Old Crescent in Limerick last Sunday.
