Medieval conference lineup announced

Lorrha & Dorrha Archaeological and Historical Society are excited to announce that our conference will take place on July 18. Stephanie Woods of Tipperary Studies will launch the conference.

Our line-up is as follows:

Prof Damian McManus – From the Tower of Babel to Ahenny, Tipperary; a brief vade-mecum of Ogam, Ireland’s oldest writing system.

Prof Tadgh O’Keefe – Making sense of Terryglass Castle.

Prof Rachel Moss – Reform, recycling and rebirth: Medieval Lorrha in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Dr Bernadette Cunningham – The Lorrha connections and later travels of the Leabhar Breac.

Matthew Seaver - Words on the Wave: Ireland and St Gallen in Early Medieval Europe.

Refreshments and dinner are included in the day's conference. Duration of conference: 9.30am - 4.30pm. Admission: €35.
