Public consultation on Garda Annual Service Plan

Engaging with the people and stakeholders

Chief Superintendent Aileen Magner of the Clare Tipperary Division has commenced consultation with stakeholders across communities in the two counties in the development of the Annual Service Plan for 2026.

The 2026 Annual Service Plan, previously known as the Policing Plan, is being developed in accordance with the provisions of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. This plan will provide a framework for the delivery of policing services across Clare Tipperary Division supporting a commitment to build a safer, stronger and robust policing service for the public.

Speaking about the Annual Service Plan, Chief Superintendent Magner said: “As Chief Superintendent for Clare Tipperary Division, I am delighted to engage with stakeholders and the public in Clare Tipperary in the development of the Annual Service Plan for 2026. The Clare Tipperary Annual Service Plan will provide a structure for An Garda Síochána in Clare Tipperary to respond to the community, victims, the vulnerable, supporting policing and social challenges.

This plan will highlight the importance of partnership, working with community stakeholders to enhance community safety and trust.”

Policing stakeholders and members of the public are invited to make submissions based on the Annual Service Plan policing priorities namely;

1. Prevent, detect and disrupt crime

2. Protect and support victims and the vulnerable

3. Safer communities and safer roads

4. Protect the security of the State

THE ANNUAL SERVICE PLAN

The Annual Service Plan is a roadmap for the coming year and is the first of three plans which delivers the organisations strategic vision as set out in An Garda Síochána Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2028.

The Annual Service Plan identifies the objectives for service delivery and performance standards. It is centred on the commitment of An Garda Síochána to delivering effective policing and security services that will achieve its policing mission of ‘Keeping People Safe’.
