Underwater photography exhibition in Nenagh

The Diving Ireland Underwater Photography exhibition is now on display at the Civic Offices in Nenagh.

The photographs comprise a captivating range of underwater images taken by divers and snorkellers around Ireland and abroad. This collection was previously on display locally at the library in January and the hospital in February.

The exhibition serves to stoke interest in Diving Ireland Expo, the national scuba-diving and associated watersports annual convention, which is being held in Nenagh again this year. Hosted by Lough Derg Sub Aqua Club, the event will take place at the Abbey Court Hotel over the weekend of March 21 and 22. Diving Ireland Expo 2026 will feature a series of talks on various topics that will be of interest to many. Among the speakers are cold water extreme swimmer Nuala Moore; Irish Whale & Dolphin Group and Irish Basking Shark Group founder Dr Simon Berrow; veteran Navy officer Chris Reynolds, and deep sea shipwreck explorer Barry McGill.

There will also be a new underwater photography exhibition; a trade show where those interested in scuba-diving, free-diving, snorkelling and similar watersports can avail of great deals on gear; and numerous prize draws with fantastic prizes up for grabs, including holidays in Egypt and Lanzarote. Note also that the Expo features a raffle - tickets are currently in circulation and can be obtained from Lough Derg SAC members. Thanks to all our sponsors and everyone who provided prizes for the raffle.

Thanks to the Barack Obama Plaza in Moneygall for allowing us to sell raffle tickets there last Sunday. We will be selling tickets at Applegreen, Birdhill, this coming Saturday, March 7.
