Tipp under 23’s set for new campaign
CAMOGIE: Munster Under 23 Championship Preview
The second iteration of the Under-23 inter-county Camogie grade commences this Sunday with Tipperary beginning their campaign with a Munster semi-final this Sunday, 8th March, away to Waterford in SETU Waterford at 2.00pm.
The Munster Championship is a highly prestigious competition, but also serves as excellent preparation for the upcoming All-Ireland Series.
Tipperary’s management team is headed up by Nenagh Eire Og clubman Bryan Darcy who has taken over from Bill Mullaney who managed the team last year who were defeated in the Munster final and the All-Ireland semi-final by Cork.
There is a healthy twenty players eligible from last years squad which will be captained by Eva O’Dwyer from Eire Og Annacarty/Donohill. Others to make the panel include several standout minor players from recent years, including the 2024 All-Ireland winning squad.
The group has been training diligently since the trials at the start of the year, playing numerous challenge matches and are well-prepared for the campaign.
