All set for Tipperary Local Enterprise Week
15 events planned in the county
Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sample 15 events aimed at helping them to start or grow their business as part of this year’s Local Enterprise Week in Tipperary. The initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, takes place from the March 2 to 6 across the country.
While there are hundreds of events taking place nationally during the week, there are plenty of events in Tipperary open to all. These events will focus on Digital Transformation & Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing Priorities, Owner/Manager Networking, Exporting, Retail, Business Advice Clinics, Student Enterprise Programme and a Leadership Enterprise & Innovation Summit.
Business Advice Clinics take place daily across the county in Nenagh, Thurles, Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel libraries and also at the REACH Centre Roscrea and Tipperary Municipal District Office. The Student Enterprise Programme County Final takes place on Friday at TUS Campus, Thurles with students vying for a place at the All Ireland Final in May. Two live online workshops are scheduled to help you assess the viability of a business idea and the other will highlight 10 digital marketing priorities for 2026.
REGIONAL EXPORT EVENT
The week will also host a Regional Export Event titled Beyond Boarders | The Mid-West Export Drive, this event will include guest speakers from Irish Exporters Association, Enterprise Ireland and Enterprise Europe Network. A Retail Symposium | The Retail Edge will address essential topics to enhance skills and help transform retail businesses. The Digital Transformation & AI for small business event will deliver a practical overview of how AI is being used while the Owner/Manager event will host the ‘30 Day Year’ a keynote to help overcome poor execution and procrastination in business! The week will culminate in a Leadership, Enterprise & Innovation Summit at Questum in Clonmel bringing together senior business leaders for a focused discussion on growth, scaling and decision making.
A flavour of those taking part in Local Enterprise Week includes Mark Kelly Founder of AI Ireland, motivational speaker Pádraic Ó’Máille, Carraig Donn Director Padraic McMahon, Fergal Leamy former CEO Glen Dimplex Group, Gary McGann former CEO Smurfit Kappa Group, Former Group MD Glanbia John Moloney as well as former Tánaiste, EY Geopolitical Strategy Advisor Simon Coveney.
Each of the 31 Local Enterprise Offices will be running a full programme of events in their area that will cover a variety of topics relevant to small businesses and those starting up. The events are open to all, from budding entrepreneurs to established businesses and offers the opportunity to get expert advice on key areas of business from raising funds, improving your online presence, the benefits of AI, to how to make your business more productive and save money.

The Local Enterprise Offices located in the local authorities and funded through Enterprise Ireland support thousands of small Irish businesses and entrepreneurs nationwide. Since their establishment in 2014 they have been for the first stop for entrepreneurs and small businesses and providing a range of supports including funding, mentoring, training and sector specific expertise to help guide businesses at any stage of their development.
KEY INITIATIVES
They also run key initiatives to foster entrepreneurship across the country including Local Enterprise Week, National Women’s Enterprise Day, the Student Enterprise Programme and the National Enterprise Awards.
