Munster Champions: Warm congratulations to our Junior Ladies Football team and management on a superb Munster Championship victory, captained by Nicole Buckley, which took place on Tuesday, February 3. In an exciting and hard-fought contest, Our Lady’s emerged victorious with a scoreline of 3-8 to 3-5 against Coláiste Mhuire Ennis. Under Buckley’s leadership, the team displayed outstanding determination, skill, and teamwork throughout, delivering a performance worthy of the provincial title. This outstanding achievement is a credit to the players and their management, and it is a moment of great pride for the entire school community.

European Parliament visit to our school: Mr Billy Kelleher, MEP, recently visited our school as part of the European Parliament Ambassador Schools Programme. During his visit, Mr Kelleher addressed students on the meaning of European Union citizenship and highlighted the many benefits of Ireland’s membership of the EU. He also engaged students in discussion on the key challenges facing young people today, as well as the future challenges for the European Union. The visit provided students with a valuable insight into the role of the European Parliament and the importance of active citizenship at both national and European level

School Bank launch: Transition Year students recently launched the School Bank in conjunction with Bank of Ireland, marking an important initiative in promoting financial awareness amongst students. The official opening was carried out by Ms Mairéad Eviston, who cut the ribbon, and the occasion was supported by Ms Janice Lawlor, Bank of Ireland representative, who was on hand to guide and advise students throughout the launch. Any student interested in opening a Bank of Ireland account can meet the TY representatives at break-time on Tuesdays or lunchtime on Thursdays, where they will be guided through the account opening process.
