Meetings on Shannon water abstraction
Informal drop-in sessions on the abstraction of water from the Shannon will take place at Killaloe Ballina Community and Family Resource Centre, Castleconnell, Cloughjordan and Nenagh Arts Centre in the coming weeks.
Information sessions will be held in Nenagh Arts Centre on February 12 from 11am to 1pm, and April 16, 11am to 1pm; in Killaloe Family Resource Centre, February 12, 5 to 7pm, and April 16, 5 to 7pm; ACM Community Centre, Castleconnell, March 19, 11am to 1pm; Thomas MacDonagh Museum, Cloughjordan, March 19, 5 to 7pm. You are encouraged to attend these sessions. Submissions on this planning application must be lodged with an Coimisiún Pleanála before February 24.
Uisce Éireann has appointed a community liaison officer, who will facilitate ongoing communications between Uisce Éireann and local communities on this Water Supply Project. The officer will be available throughout the planning and construction to meet with anyone interested in the development of this project.
