Car park for Borrisokane

Borrisokane should have been provided with a car park years ago and needs one now more than ever, Cllr Michael O’Meara has said.

He told a recent meeting of Nenagh Municipal District that cars are being “abandoned” for long periods of time at the top of the main street, which was never the intention for this section of the street. A number of businesses in the area have been affected.

Borrisokane has improved greatly in the last 10 to 15 years but the car parking issue remains outstanding, Cllr O’Meara said.

District Director Liam Brett replied that the council would look at the situation again from an engineering point of view.
