Bike run in Kevin’s memory
On September 20, friends and family of the late Kevin Dunne organised a bike run to fundraise for Tipperary Friends of the Animals in his memory.
As explained by Siobhan McGrath on behalf of those who organised the event, this memorial bike run was a tribute that brought together two of Kevin’s greatest passions: motorbikes and animals.
As requested by Kevin’s family, all proceeds from the event were donated directly to Tipperary Friends of the Animals. In total, €9,270 was raised from this fundraiser, and this amount was recently presented to Tipperary Friends of the Animals.
Grateful for Support
“Kevin's mam, Sally and his two brothers Brian and Mark and the event committee wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to every single person who donated, supported, or took part in the memorial run,
“We are especially grateful to the businesses of Nenagh and the surrounding areas for their generous sponsorships, donations, and spot prizes, all of which helped make the night such a success. A special word of thanks goes to Hickey’s Pub in the Silvermines, who kindly hosted the event and supported us again on the day of presenting the cheque,” commented a Siobhan McGrath on behalf of the organisers.
Love for Motorbikes and Animals
Tipperary Friends of Animals aims to prevent cruelty to animals and works to rescue and rehome stray or unwanted domestic animals.
Siobhan explained that this charity was a fitting way to honour Kevin’s memory. “Kevin’s love for motorbikes was immense, and his affection for animals was just as strong. He held a deep and genuine love for all animals, making this donation a fitting and meaningful tribute to his memory.”
