Greyhound Stadia across Ireland raise €12,000 for The Dillon Quirke Foundation

At the final of the Irish Greyhound Laurels in Curraheen Park, Cork recently, Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) Chairperson Pat Flanagan presented a €12,000 donation to the Dillon Quirke Foundation. This was the the third consecutive year the industry has supported the charity.

The funds were raised across stadia nationwide throughout October. During the live broadcast interview on Virgin Media 3, Dan Quirke thanked everyone involved, noting the vital impact the Foundation has in raising awareness and funding cardiac screening for young athletes.

This continued support from the Irish greyhound racing community underscores the sport’s supporters commitment to giving back and making a difference off the track. Stadia included were; Shelbourne Park, Kilcohan Park (Waterford), Youghal, Curraheen Park (Cork), Kingdom Greyhound Stadium (Tralee), Limerick, Galway, Newbridge, Mullingar, Clonmel, Thurles, Enniscorthy, Dundalk and Lifford.
