Plan to upgrade Roscrea waste water treatment plant

Uisce Éireann is planning an upgrade of the waste water treatment system in Roscrea.

The company has applied to Tipperary County Council for the upgrade of the plant at Beechwalk and at lands adjacent to Cois Aglish, within the townlands of Townparks and Clybanane.

The extensive works will involve construction of four pipe bridges across the River Bunow and the decommissioning of two existing pipe bridges.

Also planned is construction of a gravity sewer at Beechwalk and a similar structure between Beechwalk and Cois Aglish. A Natura Impact Statement accompanies the planning application, which is extensive in detail.
