Newport Historical and Archaeological Society have announced the diary dates for events organised by the society for October and November.

Tuesday, October 7 - Annual General Meeting at O'Sullivan's Lounge, Newport at 7pm.They hope to welcome back all present members and extend an invite to new members to join and plan ahead for the coming year.

Tuesday, October 14 : Talk on ‘The Cullens Of Newport’ at 8pm with guest speaker Bill Cullen. The family have been providing business services to the people of Newport and surrounding areas since Bill's great-grandfather established a general store in 1863.
