Council launches clean-up weekend

Tipperary County Council is calling on individuals, community groups, schools, and businesses to join forces for the Team Tipp County Clean-Up, taking place from October 10 to 12. This countywide initiative aims to tackle the growing issue of roadside litter and promote a cleaner, greener Tipperary.

Speaking at the launch, Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council, Councillor John Carroll, said: “I am delighted to be launching the 2025 County Clean-Up. Unfortunately, we are still seeing littering across our towns and villages. Litter doesn’t just create a poor impression it harms our environment and public health. It also undermines the incredible efforts of volunteers and Tidy Towns groups who work tirelessly alongside Tipperary County Council to keep our communities clean.

“We all have a role to play in keeping our county tidy. By working together, we can protect our environment, support local pride, and ensure Tipperary remains a place that we can all be proud of. Let’s make this year’s Tipp Team Clean-Up our most successful yet!”
