Nenagh Youth Theatre is now accepting new members! Nenagh Youth Theatre is now accepting new members for the 2025/2026 term starting from Saturday, September 27, at 10.15am.
Nenagh Youth Theatre has been the resident youth theatre at Nenagh Arts Centre since 2009. Our facilitators are dedicated to creating a fun, innovative approach to theatre, challenging perceptions across the arts, and offering young people aged 12–18 weekly professionally led theatre workshops and high-quality arts experiences.
Inspiring creativity and confidence, Nenagh Youth Theatre provides young people with the opportunity to explore the world of drama and make long-lasting friendships. Through workshops, performances, and collaborative projects, it allows young people to foster talent, share interests and build community. Weekly workshops will be facilitated by Calvin Magee, a Theatre Maker and Youth Theatre Practitioner who is dedicated to creating an accessible and enjoyable environment to empower and celebrate young voices.
This year, our new recruits will join the NYT Players programme, whilst our oldest current members will work with verbatim theatre, shadow theatre, and advanced acting skills in the NYT Explorers programme.
NYT Players: This programme runs every Saturday from 10.15am to 12 noon starting from September 27. New members will explore ensemble building, improvisation, script work, character development, and storytelling. The programme emphasizes teamwork, developing new performance skills, and making new connections. The work created during this programme will be staged in late March. This project is proudly funded by Tipperary County Council and the Tipperary Arts Office.

Join Nenagh Youth Theatre for our first workshop of the new term on Saturday, September 27, at 10.15am.
We welcome new members aged 12–18 who are looking for a creative outlet to express themselves, explore theatre as an art form, and make lasting memories, all while having lots of fun!
