The Watch Centre Junior 'A' Hurling Championship

Only one game took place last week, with Nenagh Éire Óg securing a 3-16 to 1-15 victory over Roscrea at MacDonagh Park.

Roscrea held a half-time lead of 1-11 to 1-5 and maintained their advantage deep into the second half. However, Éire Óg finished strongly, scoring 2-2 without reply late on to clinch the win.

Round 7 takes place this Friday, 15th August with all games throwing in at 7.15pm - Kilruane MacDonaghs face Nenagh Éire Óg in Puckane, Toomevara take on Kiladangan in Shalee, whilst Borris-Ileigh play Roscrea in Toomevara.

The Watch Centre Junior 'B' Hurling Championship

Moneygall began their Group 2 campaign last Friday at home with a comprehensive 1-30 to 0-12 victory over an understrength Kiladangan side. Tommy Devereux was the Moneygall goal-scorer with Dylan Maher and Conor Quinlan prominent scorers from play for the victors.

They were due to take on Borrisokane on Monday but received a walkover.

Toomevara and Templederry Kenyons faced off on Monday, 11th August, in Group 2. No result was available at the time of going to print.

The following games throw in at 7.00pm on Saturday:

Group 1 - Silvermines v Knockshegowna in Dolla

Group 2 - Lorrha v Templederry Kenyons in Lorrha, Kilruane MacDonaghs v Toomevara in Toomevara

Group 3 - Burgess v Moneygall in Kilcolman.

Sunday 17th August at 11am, Group 3 - Borrisokane v Portroe in Borrisokane

Monday 18th August at 7.00pm, Group 1 - Newport v Ballina in Newport

All teams in Group 1 (seeded last year’s semi-finalists) will progress to the quarter finals, along with the top two teams from Group 2 and Group 3

Ger Gavin Furniture Under 19 'A' Hurling Championship

Round 2 of Group 2 saw victories for Kilruane MacDonaghs and Borris-Ileigh last Wednesday.

Kilruane MacDonaghs secured a strong victory over Toomevara, finishing 3-15 to 0-18 in Cloughjordan. The home side led 1-10 to 0-8 at half time, with Tommy O'Meara’s first-half goal providing an important boost. In the second half, Kilruane extended their advantage with goals from Johnny Naughnane and Fiachradh Ahearne Woods, ensuring a well-earned win. Toomevara fought hard but were unable to close the gap as Kilruane maintained control throughout the second half.

Borris-Ileigh produced a dominant performance to defeat Nenagh Éire Óg 6-23 to 2-13.

Borris started strongly, leading 0-4 to 0-2 within the opening eight minutes before launching their goal hunt. Two quickfire goals from Darragh Chute and Cathal Kennedy set the tone early.

Maintaining their momentum through the second quarter, Borris extended their lead, with Nenagh grabbing a goal but Borris responding immediately with two goals from Patrick Ryan, going in at half time with a commanding 5-11 to 1-12 advantage.

The second half saw Borris continue to share the scoring load across their forwards, with Patrick Ryan completing his hat-trick as Borris ran out convincing winners.

The final group stage games take place this Wednesday, 13th August at 7.15pm:

Group 1 - Silvermines v Ballina in Dolla; Roscrea v Newport in Roscrea.

Group 2 - Nenagh Eire Og v Toomevara in Nenagh, Kilruane MacDonaghs v Borris-Ileigh in Cloughjordan.

The top two teams in each group will progress to the semi-finals.

Ger Gavin Furniture Under 19 'B' Hurling Championship

In Group 1, Kiladangan continued their good form with a 1-15 to 0-14 victory over Burgess in Kilcolman. The sides were level 0-8 each at half time with a well finished Rian McGrath goal in the 43rd minute proving to be the key score of the game as Kiladangan held out for victory against a gallant Burgess side.

In the second game in the group, Lorrha Rovers had a comfortable 0-19 to 0-6 victory over Borrisokane.

No game took place yet in Group 2 as Ballinahinch/Templederry received a walkover from Moneygall/Clonakenny.

The Round 3 games take place this Wednesday, 13th August at 7.15pm;

Group 1 - Burgess v Lorrha Rovers in Kilcolman; Kiladangan v Borrisokane is not going ahead as Borrisokane conceded the game.

Group 2 – Ballinahinch/Templederry v Portroe

The top two teams in each group will progress to the semi-finals.
