Mary Flynn retires from Nenagh Arts Centre

An intimate celebration was held on Friday, July 25, at Nenagh Arts Centre to bid farewell to the Queen of the Box Office, Mary Flynn.

After 11 years of being the smiling face of Nenagh Arts Centre, Mary has officially retired. Any visitors to Nenagh Arts Centre, be they attending a show, their regular class, an art exhibition or creative workshop, will have stepped into that experience with a warm welcome and gentle guidance from Mary. Mary began working at Nenagh Arts Centre in 2014 and has been a pillar of support to the Nenagh arts community ever since.

Trish Taylor Thompson, Director of Nenagh Arts Centre; Neil O’Donnell, Caretaker and bookings, and Rosemary Joyce, Senior Executive Officer at Tipperary County Council, all spoke and thanked Mary for her service, with particular mention being given to “her smile, her patience, and her wicked sense of humour”.

Mary has passed the baton to Kate O’Regan, who has taken up the role of Receptionist. Nenagh Arts Centre is delighted and honoured to officially welcome Kate to the team.

From all the staff at Nenagh Arts Centre, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Mary for brightening our days for the last 11 years, and best of luck to you with all your future adventures.
