Aircraft maintenance firm’s plan

A company providing line maintenance services for aircraft firms at Shannon Airport has signalled its intention to apply to Tipperary County Council to construct five detached commercial buildings at the Lisboney Business Park in Nenagh.

Apex Aviation Ltd is to seek the green light from the local authority for an aircraft engine maintenance building with associated office space.

It plans to develop an aircraft engine storage facility with associated office spaces and a number of detached warehouse buildings.

Other facilities planned as part of the proposed development include an ESB substation, security hut, associated car/bike parking and an internal road network together with a connection to the existing business park roadway.

Following a planning requirement of the council, a Natura Impact Statement is being submitted with the application.
