Home start for Ormond in AIL top tier debut

The fixtures for the 2025/26 Energia All-Ireland League season have been announced with the action kicking off on Saturday, September 27th.

Newly promoted Nenagh Ormond, flying the flag for Tipperary club rugby in the top-flight, kick off with a home tie against the other promoted team Old Belvedere, who topped Division 1B last season.

The opening day also sees a repeat of this season’s semi-finals with reigning Champions Clontarf away to St. Mary’s College and beaten finalists Cork Constitution on the road to Lansdowne. Terenure College, with former All-Black Carlos Spencer, as their new head coach will open their season at home to UCD.

Nenagh’s first away game will be against UCD before they welcome Munster rivals Cork Constitution to Lisatunny in round 3, whom Ormond defeated in the Munster Senior Challenge Cup last season.

Other notable fixtures for Nenagh Ormond are the away game against Lansdowne on November 1st; while they welcome champions Clontarf to New Ormond Park on December 6th. What will be Nenagh Ormond’s derby fixtures in this campaign will be against Young Munster, with Nenagh making the short trip to Limerick on December 13th with the return fixture on January 10th 2026.
