The Liam Quinlan ridden Charlies Pride landed the two-mile handicap chase on just his second start over fences at Roscommon on Monday.

Pat Doyle and his son Jack won the three-mile one-furlong beginners' chase with the six-year-old Brave Fortune. A strong 6/5 favourite, he raced clear from the second-last fence to beat Willie Mullins’ Uncle Pat by seven and a half lengths for owners Linda Mulcahy and Mary Wolridge.

The four-year-old Declaree scored a narrow success in the seven-furlong fillies’ handicap in the hands of Ben Coen. Trained by Johnny Murtagh, the Newtown Anner Stud Farm-owned 7/2 chance made all the running and readily held Ross O'Sullivan’s Four Blondes by a neck.
