Junior 'A' Hurling Championship

Sponsored yet again by The Watch Centre, the championship will commence this Friday, 20th June with the games throwing in at 7.15pm. Kiladangan and Borris-Ileigh face off in Cloughjordan, Roscrea take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in Borrisoleigh and Toomevara will be the venue for the clash of Nenagh Eire Og v Ballinahinch. Toomevara have a bye.

The championship will consist of a single group of seven teams with the top four teams progressing to the semi-finals.

Junior 'B' Hurling League

There were a number of outstanding group games that took place last week in the league. On Friday, Shannon Rovers had a 1-15 to 1-11 victory over Knockshegowna in Group 1 whilst neighbours Portroe and Ballina played out a 2-14 to 0-20 draw in Group 2. On Monday 16th, Borrisokane hosted Knockshegowna in Group 2 with no result at time of going to print.

The semi-finals will take place this weekend - on Friday, 20th June Burgess host Lorrha at 7.30pm in Kilcolman whilst on Sunday, 22nd June, Moneygall host Toomevara in Moneygall at 12 noon.

Junior 'B' Hurling Championship

Sponsored yet again by The Watch Centre, the championship will contain three groups with the following format:

Group 1 - Ballina, Knockshegowna, Silvermines, Newport

Group 2 - Templederry Kenyons, Roscrea, Toomevara, Lorrha, Kilruane MacDonaghs

Group 3 - Moneygall, Kiladangan, Portroe, Burgess, Borrisokane

The 2024 semi-finalists are seeded in Group 1 with an Open Draw for Groups 2 & 3.

All teams in Group 1 qualify for the quarter finals. The top two teams in Group 1 have home advantage in the quarter finals and are drawn against the runners-up in Groups 2 & 3. The third & fourth place teams in Group 1 play the winners of Groups 2 & 3 in the quarter finals. Draw for home advantage.

If the Top 2 teams qualify for the semi-finals, they are to be kept apart in the draw.

The championship will start in early July.
