Clodagh Ní Chinnéide, Ormond CCÉ, came first in Bodhrán, first in Drums, first in Miscellaneous and second in Concertina U18!Ormond Comhaltas achieved outstanding success at the Tipperary County Fleadh in Clonmel last weekend, with a large number of competitors qualifying for the upcoming Munster Fleadh in Cork this July.
Our branch was proudly represented across a wide variety of competitions - from solo instrumentalists to duets, trios, and four céilí bands, as well as in singing and newly composed songs, both in English and Irish. It was fantastic to see such a strong showing of talent, creativity, and passion for our musical tradition.
We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated teachers for the huge work they put into preparing the children, and to our supportive parents, who continue to champion the arts in our community. Most of all, well done to our young performers for their hard work, energy, and commitment - you’ve done yourselves and Ormond CCÉ proud!
Mar a deir an seanfhocal, “Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí” - Ormond CCÉ is flourishing, and we look forward to cheering on our qualifiers at the Munster Fleadh this July.
