Green Flag celebrations at St Mary’s

St Mary's No 2 NS, Nenagh, received their seventh Green School flag last week. The theme for this flag was Energy and Global citizenship.

The Green School Committee have put a huge amount of work into achieving this flag. The school used 30% less energy this year in comparison to last year and this is all thanks to the careful monitoring by all the staff and pupils.

The school also held an open day for family and friends to view all their work on climate change, renewable energy sources, tips for saving energy and so much more. They also helped to keep the local area tidy as they picked litter during their sponsored walk around Nenagh on May 2. Well done to all the boys and girls of St Mary's No 2.
