NTDC holds information event

As part of National Local Development Week, NTDC will host an open morning in their Friars Court, Nenagh Offices from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday, May 13. Monica McElvaney, Chairperson of NTDC, said: “The Board of Directors and staff would like to invite the community to attend this Open Morning and help you gain an understanding of the wide range of local development and community work carried out by NTDC.

“Staff from each of the company’s programmes will be on hand to discuss and explain their work and how NTDC programmes and services might benefit you, your family, and your community. The five pillars of NTDC’s work include community development, supporting families and individuals, environment and energy, enterprise and employment and developing opportunities.”

NTDC are a local development company and provides programmes in childcare/creches, youth services, training, job supports, community development services including SICAP, enterprise supports and grants, counselling and family supports, health and wellbeing supports, the Ascend domestic abuse service, older person services, social enterprise, rural development including LEADER, Meals on Wheels and new arrivals services. The Company has its main offices in Nenagh, Thurles and Roscrea and delivers outreach support across North Tipperary.

NTDC are supported in their work by Tipperary County Council, members of the Tipperary LCDC, DRCD, Tusla, HSE, DSP, TETB, Department of Justice, SEAI, DCEDIY and other funders. These agencies support in ensuring that resources are made available to support the communities of North Tipperary.

Local Development Week 2024 provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the impactful work LDCs do daily, enhancing the quality of life in cities, towns, and villages across the country.
