A car theft in Nenagh and the stealing of heating oil from a school at Roscrea have been reported by local gardaí.

Gardaí report crimes in Nenagh and Roscrea

Heating oil in a tank at a school in Roscrea was stolen on Wednesday night of last week, prompting local gardaí to issue a warning to secure fuel tanks.

Separately, fencing was stolen from a farm in the Coolbawn area on the night of January 1. Gardaí are carrying out inquiries.

A person suspected of robbing another individual in the Millers Brook housing estate off the Borrisokane Road in Nenagh on December 27 last has since been arrested by gardaí.

He appeared in court in relation to the issue on Thursday last where he was released on bail under strict conditions pending the hearing of his case.

Meanwhile, a white coloured Mercedes car stolen from Stereame, Nenagh, on the afternoon of Wednesday of last week was recovered in Sixmilebridge, Co Clare, the following day.
