While the Willie Mullins-trained odds-on favourite Jolie Coeur Allen lost out in the opening race, Banprionsa justified her short odds to win the two-mile five-furlong mares’ maiden hurdle under Rachael Blackmore at Tramore on Tuesday.

Trained for Kenny Alexander by Henry de Bromhead, the odds-on favourite had a little in hand as she beat Declan Queally’s Rachel’s Secret by two lengths.

Kilsheelan trainer Shauna Larkin teamed up with jockey Killian Leonard to win the second leg of the two-mile handicap at Dundalk on Wednesday with Riyami.

In the colours of the Premier Racing Club, the strong favourite came from off the pace to lead at the furlong pole from where he went clear to win by an easy five lengths from the Eamonn O’Connell-trained Curious Bride.

There was no claims made for the Nathan Crosse-ridden Pomeriggio which scored a convincing success in the opening seven-furlong claiming race for two-year-olds at Dundalk on Friday.

Owned by the It’s All About The Girls Syndicate, Jessica Harrington’s 5/1 chance led early in the race and again early in the straight before pulling away to win by three and a quarter-lengths from the Ger Lyons-trained favourite Cool Dan which was claimed afterwards and joins trainer Leanne Breen.

Andy Slattery’s Senado Square took the five-furlong apprentice handicap under Cian Horgan. A well-supported 4/1 shot, the Punchestown Friends Syndicate-owned three-year-old led in the closing stages to pip the Johnny Feane-trained Havana Notion by a neck.

Harry Swan played his part as Gordon Elliott landed a treble at Fairyhouse on Saturday. The trainer shared his success with three different jockeys and the first of them into the winners’ enclosure was amateur rider Charlotte Butler, a daughter of Newmarket trainer John Butler, who partnered her first winner in Ireland on So Des Flos in the two-mile five-furlong ladies handicap chase.

Jack Kennedy notched up his first winner of the meeting as the Bective Stud-owned Firefox impressed in beating Ballyburn in the two-mile maiden hurdle and Swan made his contribution when recording a five-length win on Jalon D’Oudairies in the concluding bumper. An 11/8 favourite, the Gigginstown House Stud-owned four-year-old led early in the straight under the Cloughjordan amateur and pulled away from over a furlong out to beat the John and Thomas Kiely-trained Major Barry in fine style.
