Abbey Court hosts September 28 event

North Tipperary Development Company (NTDC) are proud to be hosting a Jobs and Career Fair in Nenagh on Thursday, September 28. The event in the Abbey Court Hotel runs from 10am to 2pm and will showcase employment opportunities in Tipperary and Limerick.

The event will also offer job seekers advice and guidance with CVs, Job seeking skills, Interview skills and will feature presentations from job coaches and professionals in the areas of Enterprise Education and Training.

There will be up to 40 stands on the day offering different employment, career, and training progression routes, it is envisaged that the event will lead to new opportunities for employment in the communities of Tipperary and Limerick.

In highlighting this event, organiser Kevin Burrows, Enterprise and Employment Officer with NTDC, stated: “We are delighted that the Abbey Court Hotel can host this event, and we have partnered with the Tipperary Education Training Board, County Tipperary Chamber and local DSP Intreo Offices to bring a wide range of professional information and advice into one place for job seekers to access.”

NTDC CEO, Michael Murray, stated: “As part of our core work under the SICAP programme, we assist members of the community access employment supports through training, work readiness and career support actions and by working closely with our collaboration partners, enabling us to bring a joined-up approach to this area of our work.” Mr Murray also took the opportunity to “thank the funding agencies and their staff teams, who support NTDC’s employment and enterprise work, especially DSP, Tipperary Education & Training Board, Tipperary County Council, members of the Tipperary LCDC, Tipperary Chamber and the Department Rural & Community Development and other services to ensure employment support resources are available to all.

Trish Markey, Tipperary Chamber added: “The County Chamber were delighted to partner with the staging of the event and reflected that the number of employers already signed up to attend, from employment sectors including the production sector, healthcare sector, childcare sector, manufacturing & hospitality demonstrates the wide spread of employment opportunities available for job seekers in the area.”
