'Excellent plan' adopted for Roscrea

Cllr Michael Smith formally proposed adoption of the Roscrea Local Area Plan 2023-2029 at this month's meeting of Tipperary Co Council.

"I think it's an excellent plan and blueprint for the development of Roscrea town into the future," he said, mentioning that the draft plan attracted a large amount of written and oral submissions.

Seconding the proposal, Cllr Noel Coonan acknowledged the work put into the plan by the council's Planning section. He hoped the new plan would make it easier for local people to get planning permission to build their own homes.
