Hibernian Inn North Senior Hurling Championship
will commence this weekend. Roscrea will face Kiladangan on Saturday 8th July at 4.00pm in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. The remaining quarter finals take place as a double header in Dolla on Sunday 9th July, Borris-Ileigh face Kilruane MacDonaghs at 5.00pm whilst Toomevara and Nenagh Eire Og throw-in at 7.00pm.
The semi-finals take place on the weekend of Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th July. Templederry Kenyons await in the semi-finals as they received a bye.
Entry to the games are via either tap & go or tickets which are available to purchase online at embed.futureticketing.ie/c/north-tipperary-gaa/. No cash will be accepted whilst free entry for Under 16s. The games will also be streamed online at clubber.ie.
Savvy Kitchens North Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
will commence this weekend.
On Friday 7th July, Ballina and Newport face each other in Templederry with a 7.30-pm throw-in. Silvermines face Burgess on Saturday 8th July at 2.00pm in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. The semi-finals take place on the weekend of Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July. Portroe and Lorrha await in the semi-finals as they received byes.

Kelly’s of Fantane North Intermediate Hurling Championship
will commence on the weekend of Friday 14th & Saturday 15th July.
On Friday 14th July, Moneygall face Shannon Rovers in Borrisokane with a 7.30pm throw-in whilst the next day, Borrisokane face Kiladangan at 7.00pm in Cloughjordan.
The Final is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 22nd or Sunday 23rd July.
Watch Centre North Junior 'A' Hurling Championship
commenced last Friday evening.
Ballinahinch had an impressive 3-20 to 0-12 win over Toomevara in Nenagh with David Gleeson impressive for Ballinahinch scoring two goals whilst Shane Nolan was Toome's lead scorer.
Nenagh Eire Og gained revenge over Roscrea following the previous weekends league final with a notable 2-19 to 1-12 victory in Borrisoleigh. Eire Og were up 1-12 to 1-7 at half time with Sean Phelan (Eire Og) and Conor Dooley (Ros) scoring the first half goals. Cian Crowley scored Eire Og's second goal in the 53rd minute. Ben West top scored for Eire Og with 0-9 (6 frees) whilst Crowley and Phelan finished with 1-2 each. Conor Dooley led the charge for Roscrea, finishing with a tally of 1-3.
Borris-Ileigh had a 2-14 to 1-15 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs in Toomevara. Danny Ryan scored the first goal for Borris in the sixth minute with Oisin O'Meara finding the back of the Borris net for Kilruane in the thirteenth minute. Kilruane were the better team for the first half with Borris struggling up front for scores. The half time score was 1-9 to 1-5 in Kilruane's favour. Kilruane held this lead late into the second half only for a Micheal Carey goal in the 59th minute proving to be the match winner for Borris.
Round 2 takes place in the coming days. On Thursday 6th July, Ballinahinch face Kilruane MacDonaghs in Nenagh with a 7.30pm throw-in. On Friday 7th July, Borris-Ileigh and Nenagh Eire Og face off in Shalee where the action throws in at 7.30pm. The remaining game takes place on Monday 10th July with Toomevara hosting Roscrea at 7.30pm.
Watch Centre North Junior 'B' Hurling Championship
In Group 1, Lorrha kept their championship hopes alive with a battling performance in their 0-18 to 0-16 win away to Templederry Kenyons on Saturday. With the aid of a breeze, Templederry held a 0-9 to 0-2 lead after the first quarter, but Lorrha finished the half strong, cutting the Templederry lead to two points at the half time interval, 0-11 to 0-9. Lorrha enjoyed the advantage of the breeze in the second half and went onto secure a two-point victory with Barry Moran and Philip Hogan prominent scorers.
Moneygall took on Silvermines in their Round 2 game on Tuesday 4th July with no result at time of going to print.
Round 3 of Group 1 will take place on Saturday 15th July at 7.00pm - Silvermines host Lorrha in Dolla whilst Templederry Kenyons travel to Moneygall.
In Group 2, Toomevara and Burgess played out a 1-19 each draw last Saturday in Toomevara. The home side held a 0-6 to 0-3 lead after the first quarter with Mikie Delaney a dangerous threat up front for the greyhounds. A John O'Brien goal for Burgess in the 20th minute levelled the game (1-5 to 0-8). Toome responded with a goal of their own three minutes later through Harry Duff and they went onto hold a one-point lead at half time - 1-10 to 1-9. Burgess made the better start to the second half and enjoyed a three point lead at the end of the third quarter - John O'Brien was particularly busy during the second half for Burgess - scoring seven points. Burgess held onto this three point lead going into the closing minutes, but Toome finished well with Mikie Delaney and Mark Harty cutting the deficit to a single point. Harty then pointed a free with the last puck of the game to claim an important draw. Harty top scored for Toome with seven points (6 frees) whilst Mikie Delaney contributed four points from play. John O'Brien finished with 1-10 (6 frees) for Burgess whilst Sean Dunne and Aidan O'Flaherty scored three points each. O'Flaherty proved to be a big loss for Burgess as he went off injured in the second half.
The Borrisokane v Kiladangan game did not go ahead.
Round 3 takes place this Saturday 8th July at 7.00pm - Burgess host Borrisokane while Newport travel to Kiladangan.
In Group 3, Ballina had a 0-15 to 1-11 victory over neighbours Portroe last Friday. Very little separated the sides with scores traded throughout. Ballina enjoyed a 0-7 to 0-6 half time lead. The sides were level going into injury time with Ballina pointing a free to take the victory.
Knockshegowna received a walkover from Nenagh Eire Og in the second game in the group.
Round 3 of group 3 will take place on Saturday 15th July at 7.00 pm - Ballina host Nenagh Eire Og and while Knockshegowna travel to Portroe.
Ger Gavin North Under 19 'A' Hurling Championship
commenced last Wednesday 28th June with wins for Ballina and Nenagh Eire Og.
Ballina led Borris-Ileigh 1-10 to 0-9 at half time in their first round game with the Shannonsiders going onto dominate the second half, outscoring their opponents by 1-15 to 0-4 to record a comfortable 2-25 to 0-13 victory.
Nenagh Eire Og had a 1-17 to 0-16 win over Toomevara in the second game in the group. Toome had a 0-9 to 1-5 lead at half time with the Eire Og goal coming from Daniel Quinn. Eire Og took the lead early in the second half and held out for a four point victory. Jake Houlihan top scored for the town side with six points from frees whilst Cian Connolly (frees) and Aodhan O'Connor (from play) were also prominent scorers for Eire Og with three points each. Toomevara relied on Darragh McCarthy for their scores.
Round 2 will take place on Wednesday 12th July at 7.00pm - Ballina will host Roscrea whilst Toomevara will host Borris-Ileigh with Nenagh Eire Og having a bye.
Ger Gavin North Under 19 'B' Hurling Championship
commenced last Wednesday 28th June with victories for Kilruane MacDonaghs and Lorrha Rovers in Group 2.
Lorrha Rovers had a 3-16 to 1-15 win over neighbours Borrisokane. Lorrha Rovers had a 1-9 to 1-8 half time lead and pulled away in the second half. Donnacha O'Meara (2) and Martin Gorman were the Lorrha Rovers goal-scorers with Conor Kennedy also prominent for the victors.
In the second game in the group, Kilruane had a comfortable 5-14 to 2-10 victory over Silvermines.
No games went ahead in Group 1. Portroe have pulled out of the championship due to low numbers so their game against Kiladangan did not go ahead whilst Burgess v Moneygall/Clonakenny was postponed and will take place at a later date.
Round 2 will take place on Wednesday 12th July at 7.00pm. In Group 1, Kiladangan will host Ballinahinch/Templederry in Puckane. In Group 2, Lorrha Rovers will host Newport in Lorrha whilst Kilruane MacDonaghs host Borrisokane in Cloughjordan with Silvermines having a bye.
Ger Gavin North Under 19 'A' Football Championship
The semi-finals of the Ger Gavin North U19 'A' Football Championship will take place on Wednesday 19th July with Newport facing Moneygall/Clonakenny and Nenagh Eire Og facing Ballina.
Ger Gavin North Under 19 'B' Football Championship
will commence this Wednesday 5th July with the quarter final taking place between Kilruane MacDonaghs and Kiladangan in Cloughjordan at 7.30pm.
In the other quarter finals - Portroe conceded to Burgess whilst Ballinahinch/Templederry conceded to Roscrea. Therefore, the winners of Kilruane v Kiladangan will join Burgess, Roscrea and Borrisokane (who received bye to semi-final) in the semi-finals which takes place on Wednesday 19th July.
