Pádraig’s photo-book launch
On Thursday, May 25, the University of Notra Dame Dublin hosted the launch by Stephen Rea of a great new book of photographs by Pádraig Ó Flannabhra,
Every single euro made by the book is going to help the work of Crois Dhearg na hÉireann/Irish Red Cross, and never did that organisation need our support more.
Pádraig's work covers every aspect of Irish life with strong focus on culture. These images are all in black and white and the book has an introduction by Kevin Whelan called ‘Did you live back in the black and white days?’ A special limited (50 copies) and signed edition, featuring a separate printing of great moment as Seamus Heaney enters the Listowel Arms Hotel, at Listowel Writers Week, when all eyes fix on him, was available on the night.
Nenagh Arts Centre was also the venue for the Tipperary launch of the Nenagh photographer's new work on Tuesday, June 4.
