All Ireland Handball success for Silvermines Juveniles

It was a busy weekend in Juvenile Handball with the All Ireland Semi-Finals and Finals being hosted by Kingscourt in Cavan.

Tipperary contested four semi-finals on Saturday. In the Boys Under 15 Doubles, Conor Ryan & Daniel McKelvey from Silvermines defeated Oisin Kelly & Ben McGarvey from Tyrone 15/10, 15/2. In the Final on Sunday, they beat Travis Gibbons & Colm Finn from Sligo, 15/11, 15/5.

This is a great reward for all the training put in and well done also to their coaches. In the Girls U17 Doubles, Katie Mulcahy & Aoife Williams from Lahorna defeated Laura Delaney & Clara Conlon from Tyrone 21/20, 21/11 in the semi-final but were beaten in the final by a very strong Kilkenny pair of Emma Kelly & Laura Doherty 21/14, 21/5. In the Girls U16 Doubles semi-final, Lucy Gould (Lahorna) & Lucy Slattery (Youghalarra) were beaten by Laura Duff & Lucy McCullagh from Tyrone, 21/4, 21/6.

In the Boys U17 Singles, Rocky Reilly (Cashel) defeated Padraig Fox from Tyrone 21/1, 21/1 but lost to Joshua Roche from Wexford in the final, 21/16, 21/5. The Adult Munster Doubles Championships continue this week and we wish all our players the best of luck in Munster semi-finals & finals.
