Picking a Tipperary Rose

The Tipperary Rose of Tralee Centre is proud to present the 2020 (2022) Tipperary Rose of Tralee Gala Selection at the Anner Hotel, Thurles, this Sunday, March 13. Doors open at 6.30pm. The chosen representative will receive a collection of prizes and will represent County Tipperary on live TV at the International Rose of Tralee Festival this August.

Laura Durkan, the reigning Tipperary Rose of Tralee, can't believe it's been almost four years since her own selection night but is both happy and sad to hand over the sash.

She said: “We really do need to keep this tradition going. Being the Tipperary Rose was a fantastic experience. I got to make incredible memories and lifelong friends and am really looking forward to the selection contest on Sunday night.”

MC on the night will be Ollie Turner and a great fun night out is planned with lots of prizes on offer for a range of competitions including the popular Best Banner in the Room.

Ciarán O Connell- Tipperary Rose of Tralee co-ordinator said: “With a gap since 2018 and no Tipperary Rose next year, we would really like to extend a thank you to those who helped rally the ladies to re-enter in such great numbers.”
