Successful SOS cycle around Lough Derg

The inaugural ‘Sink or Spin’ (SOS) cycle around Lough Derg was a resounding success. Some 150 riders from around the country took part in the sportive, which included two route options of 145km and 115km around the lake. Based out of the MacDonagh Park complex in Nenagh, the event was co-hosted by Nenagh Triathlon Club and Éire Óg GAA Club, who were the main beneficiaries of the proceeds; a donation will be made to North Tipperary Hospice. The organisers hope to build on the success of last Saturday’s cycle and make SOS an annual event.
