James Woodlock appointed as Tipp minor hurling boss
Tipperary County Board confirmed their inter-county management teams for the coming year at an executive meeting held last night

Former inter-county hurler James Woodlock was appointed as the Tipperary minor hurling manager. The Drom & Inch clubman takes over from clubmate Paul Collins who stepped down at the end of the 2020 campaign.
Having won numerous titles at adult level, James also won a Munster Minor hurling medal in 2003 and has been actively involved in underage coaching and player development since his retirement from inter-county in 2015. He has played an active role with various Tipperary development squads including the Tipperary Under 16’s for the past two years.
James will be joined on the management team by his former Tipperary under 21 and senior teammate Conor O’Brien (Eire Óg Annacarty), who along with Damian Ryan (Portroe), Brendan Ferris (Marlfield) and Cormac McGrath (Ballinahinch), have been appointed as coach / selectors. Other additions to the management team will be made once current lockdown restrictions are lifted.
The incoming minor management have been appointed for a three-year term with a review to take place at the end of year two.
There has also been a change to the Tipperary Under 20 football management that will see former Dublin footballer Paddy Christie, who is also a member of the senior football management, become the new manager, replacing Tom McGlinchey. He will be joined by the remaining members of the senior football management. Further additions to the management may be made in the coming weeks.
At minor football level, former Tipperary senior boss Peter Creedon returns to the fold as coach under manager Johnny Nevin who remains at the helm for a second year.
All remaining management teams remaining unchanged.
