Celebrity Cheft Stuart O'Keeffe

Nenagh's Celebrity Chef promoting IrelandWeek

Renowned chef Stuart O’Keeffe, who hails from Tyone in Nenagh, is set to join the Ireland Week festivities and create an array of exclusive modern recipes to be available during the week-long event celebrating Irish innovation and culture in Los Angeles.

Stuart said: "I couldn't be happier and more honoured to be involved in IrelandWeek this year and to share my love of food and my experiences living here in the great city of Los Angeles for over 10 years."

Co-founder of Ireland Week, Deirdre O’Neill-Machin added: “We are thrilled that Stuart is coming on board this year to show off the finest of modern Irish cooking to Los Angelenos and the rest of the world. To have someone that came out from Ireland and is making his way very rapidly in the culinary and TV world, showcase with us, is a thrill. We are especially looking forward to hear him speak at Banter, about all things, Food, Ireland and LA of course.”

In addition to crafting Irish recipes that will be available in participating pubs and restaurants in the SoCal area during IrelandWeek, Stuart will be interviewed by renowned Irish journalist Jim Carroll at an evening of traditional Irish Banter November 2nd at Pearls Bar & Restaurant in Los Angeles. At the event, Jim Carroll will host a selection of Irish culture vultures, culture makers and protagonists from around the world to explore the phenomenal reach of Irish culture.

Through a myriad of events covering live music, theatre, visual art, film, TV, sports, tech, trade and animation, IrelandWeek’s focus is to bring Ireland to the world, and the world back to Ireland.
