Roscrea's County Junior 'A' Hurling Championship ambitions ended on Saturday as Mid champions Boherlahan-Dualla deservedly progressed to the semi-finals.

The Mid champions who are looking for a record equalling fifth Junior 'A' championship, and a first at this grade since the third of a three in a row back in 1936, were always in control of the game from the second minute when they opened the scoring through John M Geehan. It was a lead which they wouldn’t relinquish for the remainder of the game.

In a full-blooded affair, which was short on quality at times, but certainly not on commitment and intensity, as both teams left it all out on the field. The game threatened to boil over on a couple of occasions, with a couple of small rows breaking out, throughout the game. In all there was 40 frees conceded in the game which took from its flow, with seven yellow cards handed out by referee Phil Ryan.
